Who hasn't bellowed out a few lines of a Tina Turner classic at some point?

Well now could be your chance to catch all her hits on one place as Cobh native Rebecca O'Connor returns to Cork Opera House with her world class show in which she emulates the vocal talents and prowess of the legendary Tina Turner.

Following sell-out shows for the past three years, Rebecca will once again take to the stage of the Leeside venue with her energetic rendition of the undisputed Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll’s greatest hits.

Ahead of her homecoming gig Rebecca said: “I’m incredibly excited to be coming back home to Cork, the support has been fantastic at the Cork gigs and the atmosphere electric. I can’t wait to blow the doors off the Opera House again!”

The powerhouse singer is the only act in the world who is personally endorsed by Turner herself, who said: “Rebecca is so good, it’s scary…If I had her energy, I would still be touring today”.

For Rebecca, Tina’s praise has been a dream come true and the pinnacle of her career to date: "She's been my idol and inspiration for over 30 years. For Tina Turner to admire me is the biggest compliment that I have received in my career! It doesn't get any better than that!”

Joining her first band at the age of 17, Rebecca incorporated countless Tina songs into their set-list, drawing on inspiration and motivation for her own performance. After winning a local karaoke competition singing Simply The Best, her mother entered her into tv show 'Stars In Their Eyes', where she went on to become the first Irish person to win the title in front of more than 33 million television viewers worldwide.

“And I’m really honoured to be doing what I’m doing,” concluded Rebecca.

Don’t miss your chance to see Rebecca rock the stage at Cork Opera House on 4 May. Tickets from €25 on sale now at
