Micro but mighty!

Wednesday, 7th October, 2020 2:25pm

The micro-wedding has landed and it’s here to stay!

What is a micro-wedding? Simply put, it's a legal marriage with a much smaller guest list. Micro-weddings have always been around, but popularity has substantially risen worldwide in 2020 due to necessity. For those who just don’t want to postpone their wedding, the micro-wedding has become a trend that doesn’t look like slowing down any time soon.

A micro-wedding doesn’t mean that anything else must be compromised. In fact, many couples say that cutting down their guest list has allowed them to spend more money on a luxury venue or other things to make their wedding day truly memorable.

A collective of Irish wedding planners/advisors with a passion for community service and helping others have launched a new online wedding magazine aimed at assisting couples with information and planning advice for their Irish micro-wedding.

With their own ‘little black book’ of recommended wedding suppliers they have worked with over the years ensures the directory contains only word-of-mouth referrals for suppliers who love to work with weddings of all sizes including micro-weddings.

Some are offering deals for micro-weddings within Cork city and surrounding areas with plenty of availability for 2020 marriages.
