Renault updates Megane Grand Coupe range

Wednesday, 19th December, 2018 4:55pm

Irish customers love a good looking, medium-sized saloon and since the launch of the new Mégane over two years ago, the Grand Coupé has been the best-selling body style in the range.

A number of brands have abandoned the segment, but Renault believes that with its new Easy Life line-up, the Grand Coupé will continue to offer great value and high equipment levels for both new and repeat customers in 2019.

With the advent of WLTP, Renault has taken the opportunity to introduce the Easy Life line up with three trim levels instead of four, and two engines, including for the first time a petrol engine, the new 1.3 TCe 140 engine.

The new petrol engine, available in a six-speed manual or new seven-speed EDC, delivers exceptional driving pleasure, and in addition to its high-power output, the low rev performance is very enjoyable with 240Nm delivered at just 1,600 RPM.

Renault’s renowned 1.5dCi engine is enhanced in 2019 with increased power and the new AdBlue system is low maintenance with a refill lasting for several thousand kilometres giving great value to customers.

The diesel engine is also available in six-speed manual and seven-speed EDC gearboxes.

Both engines are available in the three Easy-Life trims - Play, Icon and Signature.

The Play trim level replaces both Expression and Dynamique Nav and is a generously equipped car compared to competitors, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on its seven-inch touch screen, climate control and parking sensors.

The Iconic replaces the Dynamique S Nav and has built-in navigation (seven-inch screen), the Multi-sense system — unmatched in its class, and the Visio Active safety system.

The Signature is the top of the range version with all that the Iconic has to offer plus leather upholstered interior, 18 inch diamond cut wheels, 8.7 inch navigation screen and full LED lights, and offers a captivating blend of luxury and technical sophistication.

Customers will be very happy to hear that Renault’s five-year manufacturer warranty is available across all version of new Mégane Grand Coupé. Prices start from €23,940.
