Glamity Jane

New Year's bling

We all adore some glitz and glam and I am no exception.

My New Year’s makeup bag is bursting with some absolute crackers for the night itself where I will shine like a star and have more highlighter than a glazed donut. All jokes aside though, luxe is the name of the game for New Year's and Laura Mercier has it in spades this Christmas.

Stardust Radiant Glow Palette is a limited-edition eye shadow palette featuring six matte and six sateen-shimmer eye shadow shades ranging from light to dark and cool to warm tones. The versatile palette can take eyes from neutral day to sultry night.

Universally flattering, light reflecting sateen-shimmer shades add dimension and enhance brightness. There is just the right combination of colours to endure that you glow like the radiant star you are.

The Laura Mercier Face Illuminator Powders highlight the skin with pure light-reflecting pigments for a colour-true, multidimensional and luminous finish that complements all skin tones. Its non-dusting texture allows for excellent colour payoff and applies smoothly and evenly onto skin without dragging.

Designed to compliment all skin tones, the unique formula brings natural-looking radiance to the complexion for an instant glow that lasts up to eight hours. This collection includes two best-selling shades, Addiction and Seduction, as well as two new, exclusive limited-edition shades, Ambition and Reflection. These two makeup items will see your face go from day to disco with the stroke of a makeup brush.

If daring colour is your thing then why not allow yourself to get all Erotic with the latest launch by Fuschia. This seven-pan palette comes with an array of daring shades ranging from beautiful berries, bold blues, naughty nudes and playful purples, which can be mixed and matched to create endless daring eye looks. The velvety textured mattes and shimmers are highly pigmented and have incredible lasting power, ensuring they stay put all day long.

With stunning neon pink and blue packaging, this palette has shades ranging from the perfect base colour to inner highlight to classic mattes and stunning shimmers that will give your eyes that wow factor without being garish. The cool tones will match even the most sequinned number.

If you want that sequinned look on your face, then check out Inglot New Body Sparkle Crystals. These limited edition body crystals are exclusively formulated pigments which contain larger flakes which offer depth, dimension, sheen and sparkle to any makeup look and are available in the perfect Christmas season shades of shimmering silvers and glistening golds. Apply on top of any eyelook to create a striking party look.

Mix with Inglot’s Sleeks Gloss or High Gloss Lip Oils to achieve a 3D lip effect. Apply on top of your favourite lipstick or HD lip tint to add that extra party-season glam. Don’t forget the Duraline for ultimate staying power.

With all that eye makeup, I think a nice nude glossy lip would pair perfectly. Some Maybelline Velvet beige liner and a nice matte lipstick.

Before you use a matte, though, your lips need to be perfect. As I am a sucker for a pucker, and a limited edition at that, so I was so happy to see Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour get a mini make over.

This moisturising stick with SPF 15 helps prevent sunburn and relieve chapped, cracked lips due to dryness, leaving them soft, smooth, and protected. Its small size makes it the perfect must-have travel companion, for nourished lips anywhere and everywhere.

A little love can go a long way - that’s why they partnered with muralist artist J Goldcrown on a limited edition that puts a heart-warming spin on the beloved 8 Hour.
