Image strikes again

Wednesday, 30th September, 2020 2:21pm

It almost goes without saying at this point, that Image is a brand that is at the top of its game for skincare. The skincare expert has recently released a new line, Image MD, that has been formulated by plastic surgeons and utilises the latest advancements in skincare ingredients.

But how to know if this new range is a keeper? Test it out, of course! One online consultation later with skincare queen Aoife McGarry, who works with skincare brands such as Image and seriously knows her stuff, the next step was to test out the various bits for a period of time.

Six week have since passed and one entirely new skincare daily routine later, it’s fair to see that Image is topping the bill once again!

Unlike other skincare programmes, the Image MD regimen can be used as a daily on-going skincare protocol.

It supports skin's natural defence mechanisms, fights free-radical damage from environmental exposure and compensates for nutritional imbalance of skin while fighting the signs of aging we all experience such as fine lines, wrinkles and pigmentation.

I start every morning and finish every day by washing my face with the Restoring Facial Cleanser (€36).

It gently exfoliates, easily removes makeup and increases cellular turnover for rejuvenation. It really leaves my skin feeling super-clean!

Next, again for both day and night, I apply the Restoring Youth Serum (€104) which is a highly concentrated blend of peptides and plant-derived stem cell extracts that correct and improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles resulting in firmer and more elastic skin.

It’s a bit pricier but more than worth it – I’ve noticed a huge reduction in fine lines and my skin feels so much softer and is noticeably healthier. In fact, the serum is probably my favourite of all the products I’m using!

In the morning, next up is Restoring Daily Defense Moisturiser (€56.50) which is silky smooth and smells divine – it feels very luxurious on the skin and has an SPF of 50.

Once a week I use the Restoring Overnight Retinol Masque (€109) which is again, a little on the pricier side, but will last for months and is worth the price tag – this whole range is!

Other products in the range include the Restoring Retinol Booster (€92), the Restoring Collagen Eye Gel (€109), the Restoring Post Treatment Masque (€76) and the Restoring Post Treatment Collagen Lip Enhancement SPF 15 (€38).

It’s a huge thumbs up for the new Image MD range, the products are user-friendly and it’s a worthwhile investment to treat yourself as a little goes a long way.

Not for the first time, bravo Image…10/10 for the new MD range, it would be an 11 if the option existed!
