Anyone for third helpings?

Local eatery fudi&more recently opened their third branch in Douglas.

Business is booming for fudi&more after they opened the doors to their third premises in St Patrick’s Woollen Mills, Douglas recently. The launch of this new branch comes less than one year after the ribbon was cut at their second location in Eden Hall on the Model Farm Road.

Fudi&more cook to order a wide range of global cuisine, including traditional Asian street food, classic Chinese and Italian favourites using seasonal organic ingredients.

The company delivers fresh food with the option of organic wine pairing directly to your door. They aim is to provide Cork with a one stop shop for a healthier, hassle-free life.

While all three fudi&more branches combined have generated an estimated €2 million, in excess of 85 jobs have also been created in their Marina Commercial Park premises, their popular eatery in Eden Hall and now, their brand-new dine-in restaurant in Douglas.

Furthermore, since fudi&more opened on Model Farm Road in April 2018, the company’s original customer base has grown by a 120 per cent in 10 months – validating the demand for good, fast, clean food.

Plans are already in place to open another location north of the city by the summer.

With locally sourced ingredients forming the basis of their stock cupboards, along with menus created by international chefs and nutritionists, it’s little wonder that a large part of their client base centres around a health-conscious student demographic, especially at their Eden Hall branch. While their Marina-based premises caters for Fudi fans in a delivery capacity only, the new Douglas eatery offers customers the chance to dine in while they enjoy their favourite dishes, freshly served.

Tom Ren, CEO of fudi&more spoke about what the future holds for the company.

“Our success since we initially started out in 2017 has truly been phenomenal, so by now I know that if the hard work is done, then anything is possible. Our success of course comes down to the fact that our customers love what we do and really appreciate and enjoy our food, but it is also a result of the careful thought put in to each of our dishes. We are passionate about fresh food and believe that people with busy lifestyles should have the opportunity to eat healthy and nutritious food. We are also extremely lucky to have some of the best produce in the world on our doorstep, which certainly makes our job a lot easier.

“With the launch of our Douglas branch, we will now be able to offer our service to approximately 70 per cent of the Cork city market with a goal to increase that to 100 per cent by the end of 2019.”
