Mark your calendars for 26 April as one of Cork’s fashion highlights is back.

EY’s annual fashion fundraiser in aid of Cork ARC Cancer Support House is set to showcase leading trends for spring and summer from leading boutiques.

The event, run in association with Cork based fundraising team Sunshine & Umbrellas, will take place at the Metropole Hotel with a drinks reception welcoming guests from 7pm.

Cork ARC has acquired a significantly larger premises because of the demand for its much-needed services. The two-storey, 8,000 sq ft Sarsfield House in Wilton is a period home in need of major work to become a state-of-the-art cancer support facility.

Special guest Gina London will open the event which is styled by Beth Haughton. Not to be outdone by the ladies, the personal training team from Educogym will take to the catwalk to model men’s fashion from Savilles.

Niamh Horgan of Sunshine and Umbrellas said: “Cork ARC Cancer Support House is dependent on the support of the local community so fundraising events like this are their lifeline. We are so grateful to EY for their continued support, they have demonstrated that business is not all about making money. We hope to raise €5,000 which will go directly towards the refurbishment of Cork ARC’s new larger premises on Sarsfield Road.”

John Higgins, managing partner of EY in Cork, said: “At EY, everything we do centres around our purpose, which is building a better working world, and this event is a great example of how we can work with local charities and businesses in raising vital funds for those affected by cancer.”
