Dropping off acid

It’s not just cars and people! Windmills, hydrochloric acid and methanol are among some of the more interesting cargo expected to come into Cork over the next few days.

First up are the windmills which are expected to berth in Ringaskiddy this afternoon on board a vessel flying the Antigua and Barbuda flag.

The vessel with the hydrochloric acid on board is due to dock into the South Deepwater Quay tomorrow morning with a Liberian flag flying.

The chemicals don’t end there either with the Tivoli National Oil Berth welcoming a Nordstraum vessel with methanol as its cargo. This will be flying the Norwegian flag when it arrives.

Meanwhile, Cobh can expect the Celebrity Reflection and Crown Princess with cruise passengers on board on Saturday and Monday (27 May).

Fertiliser, food, cars and a courtesy call are all also expected in Cork over the next week, too.
