Golden celebrations for Slimming World team

Talk about celebrating in style!

Founded in 1969 by Margaret Miles-Bramwell, Slimming World has grown to be the largest slimming organisation in Ireland and the UK.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary, it is touring with the Golden Bus all over Ireland and the UK.

Facing a global epidemic of over 62 per cent of the population overweight or obese, consultants are helping members adopt a healthier lifestyle week in week out.

There are more than 100 groups across Cork city and county welcoming more than 7,000 members every week.

“The key to success is the group and members staying to learn about themselves as slimmers and learn tools and strategies to cope in various situations,” Orla Holland District Manager with Slimming World, said.

She added: “All of our consultants have received the very best training to help our members lose weight, achieve their personal target and stay slim for life!

“Our consultants have all been members in their local groups so they know exactly what members are going through and how they are feeling. For anyone out there who would like to lose weight and keep it off, there is no better place than your local Slimming World group.”
