Leading the way with a high-end workspace

Since founded by the Kelly family in 2001, Glandore has become one of the leading providers of flexible workspaces in Ireland.

With facilities in Dublin, Belfast and Cork, Glandore has provided European and international headquarter locations for some of the world's leading companies, including Facebook, Twitter and Dropbox.

Glandore offers companies and individuals the flexibility and scalability to grow, with virtual offices, coworking space, private offices, meeting rooms, event space and an exclusive members’ network.

Although originally a Dublin-based company, Glandore has a special tie with the Rebel county having been named after the small village in West Cork where Managing Director Michael Kelly spent many summers as a child.

Sales Manager Danielle Healy joined the Glandore team in 2018 and has been striving to help Cork businesses grow and flourish ever since.

“I am passionate about Glandore because I genuinely enjoy coming to work every day. From an external member’s point of view, I see the value of coworking and serviced offices to companies. The benefits of becoming a Glandore member are endless,” says Danielle.

“It’s wonderful to work for a family that is so transparent, inclusive and hard-working. We have an amazing team of dedicated staff here in Cork.”

Glandore opened its doors on Leeside in 2018 at the City Quarter office facility on Lapp’s Quay and Danielle says that the staff are all personally invested in the growth and success of the company.

“When I was first approached about this opportunity, I felt like this was a really exciting time for Cork and that Glandore would be right at the epicentre of it. After meeting the Kelly family during the interview phase and understanding their vision, values and culture, I knew that Glandore was the perfect fit for me.”

Working with Danielle in Cork are Operations Manager, Niall Quinlan; Community and Events Executive, Barry Williams; Member Services Executive, Simona Pace and Denis O’Brien and Debbie Pardy, who both work in facilities.

Danielle describes Glandore as a high-end property for all types of businesses to utilise and grow within.

“We operate our business like a luxury hotel and quality service is key to our success. How we realise this is firstly by always ensuring we provide best-in-class service to all of our members and anyone who walks through the front door of any of our Glandore locations.

“Secondly, all of our locations are designed and fit-out with the highest quality materials and furniture. We want our members to be proud of their workspace and to feel confident hosting their own clients here.”

Last November Glandore Cork established itself as a professional beacon for green thinking becoming Ireland’s first plastic-free, flexible office space.

“We provide reusable amenities across all our facilities and have worked with suppliers to ensure that deliveries are plastic-free,” explains Danielle.

“Glandore is now fully committed to seeking positive change in the communities where our offices are based and embrace the opportunity and responsibility to increase green initiatives with staff members and the wider community in Cork.”

The company has also committed to using 100 per cent renewable energy across all of its Irish locations, through the installation of solar panels and smart light sensors.

“We have established a Green Team that is headed up by one of my colleagues here in Cork, Barry Williams. This team is further investigating ways to make Glandore a greener and more sustainable workplace. After all, coworking is at its very essence a ‘green’ way of working.”

For Danielle, the best part of working at Glandore is seeing and meeting the new and existing businesses in Cork and having the “privilege of watching them grow”.

“Glandore places a positive and productive working environment at the core of its culture. In City Quarter we have such a wide variety of members both indigenous and FDI, from start-ups to MNCs as well as across all disciplines from finance, legal and tech to creative and more.

“Right now we have a company that started out in our coworking space and have recently expanded into a small private office with another expansion planned for Q4 of this year, all within one year of operation in Cork.”

Looking to the future, Danielle says that over the next five years the company will no doubt see “significant growth” both in Cork and across Ireland.

“Our aim is to help build ‘brand Cork’ locally and bring as much business and attention to the region as possible, working closely with Cork Chamber and the IDA to grow business in Cork.”

Glandore also runs a Wellness Programme which can be enjoyed on a complimentary basis by both members and employees of the company.

The programme strives to ensure that the creativity and productivity of all users is continuously nurtured, with yoga classes, pamper days and on-site nutritionists, barbers and hairdressers on-hand.

Eoin Kennedy of Zone Digital is a customer of Glandore and says that the enterprise has “utterly reconfigured our notion of flexible workspace”.

“As a growing agency, it provides us with stylish, centrally located offices and makes us feel part of a vibrant, professional community. I would wholeheartedly recommend Glandore to anyone who values a beautiful workspace, staffed by a friendly, positive team. We love it!"

Glandore Cork opens from 8.30am-5.30pm from Monday to Friday, with members granted 24/7 access.
