Rejuvenate course by UCC in conjunction with Taste 4 Success Skillsnet.

Upskilling for women in food sector

Do you want to return to work in the food sector? A new upskilling programme will aid women looking to return to work in the food sector.

UCC, in conjunction with Taste 4 Success Skillsnet, will run a rejuvenate course in September. The course aims to help women get back to work in the food and agri-food sector after a career break. The food sector is a fast-paced area, and often those returning from a break feel their skills are out of date.

The course aims to update core employability skills such as CVs, Linkedin, and interviews alongside some confidence building and career planning. The final element is agri-food specific topics and trends to bring returning women right up to speed with what is happening in the sector in 2019.

The core programme, designed by food training experts, is nine days taking place over three weeks in September, with school friendly hours. This is followed up by a bespoke work experience programme. The work experience programme will take place in the Workbench space in Bank of Ireland Patrick’s Street, Cork.
