Gardaí investigating the discovery of a body found in a farm house in county Cork yesterday have released a man from custody.

Man released after man's body found

A man who was arrested following the discovery of a body in county Cork yesterday morning has been released by gardaí.

The man was arrested in connection with the death of a 29 year old male whose remains were found at approximately 7am yesterday morning at a farm house in Shanavagoon, Ladysbridge, county Cork.

Following his arrest, the man was detained at Cobh Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

Gardaí stated that the male’s body had been found with a number of injuries and has since been removed to CUH where a post mortem is due to take place.

The scene is currently preserved and the State Pathologist have been notified.

Gardaí have said that investigations are ongoing.
