A Cork Lotto player has won a jackpot prize of €5.3 million.

Lotto luck for Cork winner

Update at 2pm:

It has been revealed that the winning ticket for this weekend’s Lotto jackpot of over €5.3 million was purchased at the Centra store in Innishannon.

The lucky ticketholder, who has not yet been named, is the seventh Lotto jackpot winner of 2019, a year that has so far seen €105 million won in prizes around the country.

The winning numbers for Saturday night’s draw were 06, 08, 13, 15, 21, 30 and bonus number was 17.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “With a jackpot win of this amount, it is important that we give the winning ticketholder the time and space they need to let this amazing win to sink in. If you are the lucky ticketholder, please be sure to sign the back of the ticket, keep it safe and contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 01-8364444 and we will make arrangements for you to collect your prize."

The sole winner came very close to having to split their winnings three ways as another Cork Lotto player, as well as one from county Meath, fell just one number short, matching five numbers and the bonus ball.

The two runners up will split a prize of €102,870, receiving a handy €51,435 each. The Cork runner up bought their ticket at the Circle K service station in Moorepark West, Fermoy.

With more than 116,000 winners in Saturday night’s Lotto draws, the National Lottery has appealed to all of its players across the country to check their tickets to see if they are a winner.
