Open House is back

Cork’s architecture will be celebrated this weekend as Open House is welcomed back on Leeside.

Foundations have been set and organisers have built a jam packed weekend for the fourth year of the event.

Open House is a design festival which runs in 40 cities across the world, celebrating the best architecture each city has to offer. Open House Cork’s series of talks, tours and exhibitions held in buildings all over the city will showcase the rich and varying architecture of the city.

All of the events are free, and mostly available on a first come, first served basis.

Over these three days, from 4-6 October, buildings that aren’t usually accessible to the public open their doors for one weekend only, with tours provided by expert guides. Each building and event is staffed with a number of helpful guides who are happy to greet and assist you. There’s free building tours, lectures, walking trails, exhibitions, and readings to enjoy.
