Salt therapy available at home

A medical device that could help people with respiratory problems is now available in the home.

Kilkenny Salt Therapy has an innovative medical device for home use which helps people suffering from different respiratory problems, like asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), cystic fibrosis or even as a preventive method against colds, flus and cough wheezing. Those suffering with these issues may feel some relief by using the SaltAir UV Salinizer.

Oana from Kilkenny Salt Therapy said: “The SaltAir UV Salinzer is an ultrasonic particle dispenser designed to convert saline solution, that consists of plain water and salt, into microscopic salt particles. These salt particles travel into the deeper areas of the lungs and kill harmful bacteria. It also clears the mucus which often obstructs the airway passages making breathing difficult and leading to respiratory issues.”

Saltair is a medical device which uses a saline solution to create the salt aerosol. It does not require a mask on the face or a mouth piece when it’s in use.

“The quantity of salt particles generated is constantly the same and can be easily adjusted and controlled by increasing the saline solution concentration when needed. With our SaltAir UV, there is no filter to replace. Our SaltAir has also timer for three, six and or nine hour use especially for overnight use.” Oana added: “With SaltAir, there is no noise and it is equipped with self-sterilising ultraviolet light. This helps to maintain good hygiene and kills or inactivates microorganisms in the unit. The SaltAir is very light and small, under 1kg and it can be easily packed for your holiday or moved from one room to another and the device can also be used in respiratory problems in pets.”
