Dare to win! That’s the simple idea behind new Cork app Chanceit.
The app gives people the chances to get a desired product for a fraction of the normal price. Officially launched last Saturday in the Montenotte Hotel, Chanceit is an innovative solution for both buyers and sellers to purchase or sell just about anything.
So how does Chanceit work? Well, the seller lists a product with a certain number of tickets at a set price. A buyer purchases a ticket that is entered into a draw to be in with a chance to win their desired object for the price of the ticket.
Chanceit was created by two Cork families, the Murphys and Stouts. James Murphy-Stout said: “The kids came up with the idea of an app after hearing a story from us of how we had to raffle a friend’s jeep in Australia, so he could survive over there during the recession. He paid $2,000, so we had 20 lads on the crew, so (it was) $100 each to win.”
Following a one-click download, the owners of Chanceit promise to make buying and selling easy. Chanceit has a wide range of features including:

The aim of Chanceit was to create a new way of buying and selling. Choose the ticket price or win a chance to buy at the lowest cost. Chanceit’s owners promises it will be a safe way to buy the things you want. Every person using the app will be verified through two forms of ID and PayPal can be used to make payment.
