Considering a climate conscious car?

As Irish motorists become more environmentally mindful, and look to manage their carbon footprint, Volkswagen have launched an event for climate conscious motorists.

Blackwater Motors Volkswagen has launched its Drive! 201 Event for the 2020 Volkswagen range with the help of RedFM’s breakfast show presenters, Ray Foley and Jason Coughlan. The Drive! 201 Event, will take place on Friday 22 and Saturday 23 November in the Blackwater Motors showrooms in Cork city, Fermoy, and Skibbereen.

Recognizing that climate change is one of the greatest challenges of our time, Volkswagen have launched the Climate Action Grant, which offers up to €5,000 off a 201 model. The aim of the grant is to help reduce older cars on the Irish roads with newer, more environmentally friendly Volkswagen models, including the hybrid, fully electric, petrol or efficient diesel engines.

Commenting at the launch, General Manager at Blackwater Motors, Forge Hill, Adam Lyons said: “We are delighted to launch the Drive! 201 Event for the Volkswagen Passenger range. We have a wide range of models to suit all drivers’ needs and with our great 2020 offers there are even more reasons to make the change.”

The event includes limited offers of free three year service plans, zero percent PCP finance rate, €5,000 off, deposit contributions of up to €2,500, and technology upgrade packs with savings up to €1,371. The grant is not just limited to Volkswagen trade-ins but is available against all brand models that are a Euro 1-4 emissions standard passenger car.
