MII Cork’s new season to start with a bang

A slew of digital marketing secrets are set to be revealed at an event next Wednesday hosted by the Marketing Institute of Ireland Cork (MII Cork).

The professional body for Ireland's marketing people is launching its 2019/2020 calendar of events at Teamwork Campus One, Blackpool, on Wednesday 27 November at 6pm.

With events focusing on MII Cork’s central themes of content, community, and career, the activities planned for the year ahead aim to engage, encourage and empower.

Along with revealing MII Cork’s 2019/2020 calendar of events, this free to attend launch evening has a specific focus on digital, one of the most transformative marketing channels. With new trends and technologies being introduced on a weekly basis, this event will help attendees stay up to date on all things digital.

To paint a of picture of today’s digital landscape, MII Cork has secured two expert keynote speakers: Andrea Attard, Senior Team Manager of Marketing, HubSpot and LinkedIn’s Gearóid Buckley, Group Manager for LinkedIn Marketing EMEA.

Fiona Ryan, Chair of the Marketing Institute of Ireland Cork, commented: “From the big reveal of our 2019/2020 calendar of events, to our keynote speakers Andrea Attard sharing her valuable and insight, and Gearóid Buckley giving us a unique glimpse under the bonnet of one of the largest digital platforms, all taking place in the campus of one of Cork’s most exciting companies, this event sets the standard as the first of a year of unmissable events brought to you by MII Cork. I look forward to seeing our existing members return for a new season and welcoming some new faces on the night.”

Andrea will deliver a presentation on how to generate leads online for your business. Having worked in a variety of industries, Andrea’s focus has always been on business and marketing strategies. Her presentation will also explore the importance of pop up forms, chat bots and A/B testing.

Next, Gearóid Buckley will take to the hot seat and share how LinkedIn’s marketing team uses LinkedIn. Gearóid hopes to help attendees optimise their use of LinkedIn for their business, educating them on topics such as:

- How to build content that works on LinkedIn

- How to find your audience on LinkedIn

- How to optimise your content on LinkedIn

These sessions will be followed by a Q&A session.

As well as presentations from the keynote speakers, guests will be given the opportunity to take part in a Teamwork demo. While attendees network over nibbles and refreshments, they can also take a tour of one of the coolest workspaces in Cork, and even check out the famous Teamwork slides!
