Red Lotus comes to Therapy Rooms

By John Barry

A popular therapist will be hosting a monthly clinic offering a wide range of therapies at a venue in Cork city.

Red Lotus Clinic, operated by therapist Eithne Griffin, will offer a host of therapies and expertise beginning on Thursday 16 January, at the Therapy Rooms, Victoria Cross.

“Clients can suffer from an array of symptoms stemming from specific past or present events in their lives,” said Eithne. “By offering a variety of interventions, we can get the client to the bottom of their trauma using the most appropriate therapy and help them on to live a long life.”

The clinic offers therapies such as acupuncture, cranio-sacral therapy, reflexology, and massage. These therapeutic practices work well with other medical treatments to aid recovery from physical and emotional trauma, chronic pain, injury, fertility, pregnancy, and menopause.

With over 20 years’ experience operating clinics in Tralee, Dingle and Castlegregory, Eithne’s practice draws on her own experience of ill health and injuries. She has developed the necessary skills for diagnoses, allowing her to get to the root of problems, and take healing to a deeper level.

While Red Lotus Clinic sees clients with all kinds of ailments, Eithne specialises in the area of fertility, IVF and gynaecological issues, for which acupuncture can be a positive adjunct to ongoing treatments. Having worked for many years with Scotia Women’s Healthcare in Tralee, she has vast experience in the field of fertility, pregnancy and menopause.

Eithne is also very experienced in reflexology, massage, and homeopathy. She has adopted the motto: 'What does the body want?' as opposed to what the client feels they need. Eithne also practises cranio-sacral therapy, a very gentle, hands-on, safe and powerful therapy that supports the client in letting go.

Many ailments can be traced back to birth trauma, premature birth or C-section as well as other emotional trauma associated with birth. Therefore cranio-sacral therapy can be a great early intervention in dealing with colic, constipation, tongue tie, and disturbed sleep. She also treats older children for anxiety, abuse, OCD, autism, physical injury, bereavement and other ailments.

Eithne Griffin is fully licensed and insured to practice all therapies and is recognised by all health insurance companies.

Red Lotus Clinic will run a monthly clinic at Therapy Rooms, Victoria Cross, Cork city from Thursday 16 January.
