Flawless makeup thanks to Lisa

From online research to reading magazines and newspapers, bridal makeup is one of the more fun jobs to carry out. We recently caught up with Lisa from LisaKerrMakeup who had some tips for brides-to-be and more.

Lisa is a makeup artist from Innishannon and after years of experience in the industry, she decided in early 2019 to set up her own freelance makeup business. She is fully qualified and insured and over the past seven years, she has completed several courses in hair, makeup and special effects for film and theatre.

LisaKerrMakeup has a large number of services available both freelance and from set locations. These services include makeup application, unisex facial waxing, women’s body waxing, spray tanning, barbering and nails starting in February.

She said: “Not having to bounce from salon to artist for you and your bridesmaid’s tan, makeup and additional appointments makes life so much easier.

“Being a one-stop-shop you, as the bride, can be in complete control of colours, shades and styles from start to finish, as well as building a close relationship with your makeup artist so you can relax and have complete trust on your wedding morning.”

Lisa Kerr is an experienced brow technician and can provide a consultation for anyone needing to develop their eyebrows. “This can be a painstaking task taking anything from a month to several years so the sooner you book the better,” she added.

Lisa is also the resident makeup artist for The Brow Bar Boutique on Drawbridge Street in Cork city which is makeup by appointment only and you can catch her there Monday-Wednesday. Lisa is often booked through some of Cork's most popular hair salons along with working for premium brand cosmetics companies.

Meanwhile Lisa has assisted at many event and shows such as ‘Grease’ and ‘Alice in Wonderland’ in Cork Opera House, on Xpose and in the Nightmare Realm.
