The Panormama Bistro & Terrace at The Montenotte Hotel.

Evenings with a twist at The Cameo

If it's dinner with a view that you're after, the panoramic views from the Montenotte Hotel need to be seen to be appreciated. The Panorama Bistro & Terrace, situated on the ground floor of the hotel, not only offers gorgeous food, but with it, an incredible backdrop in a snug atmosphere while you dine.

Although we at the Cork Independent are self-confessed lovers of a bite in the Montenotte, this was a visit with a twist as we tried and tested the Cameo Cinema Club. Believe it or not, as well as the best viewpoint in the city, the hotel is also home to a 50 seat luxury cinema.

The cinema club experience offers a movie and dinner package which includes a two or three course meal from a set menu before diners are treated to a classic movie.

A night of total indulgence, the mouth-watering menu offers entrées such as warmed boilie goat's cheese tartlet while there is fish, vegetarian and meat options for dinner. The pan roasted supreme of chicken is seriously tasty and gets a huge thumbs up!

For desert, treats such as warm chocolate and walnut brownie and lemon curd tart are on offer, while we opted for the special - Baileys and malteaser cheesecake, which yes, was every bit as amazing as it sounds.

Hats off the the chefs of the Montenotte who always seem to outdo themselves.

Then it was time for the movie, 'Bridget Jones's Diary', the perfect tonic to a delightful evening that was the perfect setting for a catch-up with friends. Overall, the night was so relaxed, and that was also thanks to the lovely staff who were so friendly, helpful and welcoming.

The Montenotte Hotel does everything with a hint of perfection and the Cameo Cinema Club offering is certainly no different – a return visit is already on the cards!
