Courses to help sectors be work ready

Free courses aimed at helping workplaces return to work will be hosted over the next two months.

UCC is offering the courses so that workplaces across all sectors of Ireland’s economy are ready to resume operations under the Government’s phased roadmap.

The Covid-19 Return to Work courses are sector specific so that businesses know what is required to ensure their workplace meets the national health guidelines.

The courses are being offered by Adult Continuing Education (ACE) at UCC.

Belinda Gascoigne, Senior Programme Co-ordinator, ACE UCC, said: “We want to help Ireland get back to work. If you run a small business or a multinational, are a teacher or run a guest house, these courses are designed to help sectors across Ireland’s economy know what is required of them, and to help and support them get ready for when they can return to work.”

The courses will explore how the workplace has changed, social distancing procedures, hygiene protocols and personal protection equipment as well as new work layouts and procedures and the role of a compliance officer. The courses will take place over a number of dates in line with the Government’s Phased Roadmap for reopening society and business.
