Aprons and knives at the ready! UCC is now taking applications for its part- time Diploma in Speciality Food Production.

The course, which runs from October 2020 until May 2021, has been described by past participants as “invaluable” for those interested in starting or developing their own artisan and speciality food businesses, with many graduates having gone on to develop successful food enterprises.

The programme is typically delivered over two days, every three weeks, and consists of lectures in conjunction with practicals, case studies, site visits and workshops.

However, due to current Covid-19 restrictions, it may be necessary to deliver part, or all of this cycle’s programme using a suite of online tools.

The fee for the diploma is €2,800 with funding of 64 per cent of the fee available for eligible applicants from the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.
