New venture following restrictions

A new business on the northside of Cork city came to be in response to the Covid-19 restrictions.

The virtual event space will enable people to experience the atmosphere they would expect from physically attending a conference, corporate event, awards ceremony or product launch, all from the safety of their own work or home space.

VE Studio Cork, a new venture resulting from a partnership Event Plan and audio visual and digital specialists CAVS, aims to help businesses reconnect with their audiences at a time when physically attending events is not possible.

Jenny O’Flynn, Director at Event Plan, experienced first-hand the effect the pandemic is having on the events industry and knew that a new approach to event management was required.

She said: “Since the arrival of Covid-19, we have been busy preparing for a new business reality and are delighted to launch our virtual studio. We are now looking forward to getting back to working with clients on future events.”

Located at North Link Business Park, VE Studio Cork creates an engaging live-streaming event space, which can include pre-produced content, audience interactivity and scalable end-to-end event solutions to distribute on any digital platforms.

Thomas Morrissey, General Manager of CAVS Cork, said: “Virtual events allow larger audience reach by broadcasting without the barriers of travel, capacity limits or social distancing requirements.

“They also allow you to connect with your attendees wherever they are. In our current fast-paced, ever-changing business climate, we wanted to present a simple solution during a complicated time. Live events will bounce back eventually, but it looks like virtual is here to stay.”

Located in a 3,200 foot warehouse facility, and comprising three different styles of event zone, the studio allows for virtual and hybrid-virtual events to take place in a safe, controlled and socially-distanced environment. Events can be pre-recorded, recorded as live or run completely live-streamed.
