Organisers say the festival will return next year all going well.

Circus fest cancelled

Yet another Covid culture casualty has come in the form of the cancellation of the Pitch'd Circus Arts Festival 2020.

Originally set to run from 18-27 September, the colourful festival promised all sorts of circus acts, street performances, aerial arts, music, magic and much more.

This would have been the fourth year running for the popular festival, which is run by Circus Factory Cork, a community-based circus training and creation space in the city. There is a silver lining, however, with Circus Factory now back up and running having been closed for four months.

Circus Factory Cork’s Louisa Sloan said: “It is a shame, but we are happy to see classes fully booked and members back swinging from the rafters. We certainly hope to come back again with the festival next year.”
