Putting the Mee in charity

A Leeside refuge for women and children suffering domestic abuse has received a donation of €2,000 as calls for help continue to rise.

Cork charity Cuanlee Refuge on Kyrl’s Quay graciously accepted the lump sum which was raised by the staff of environmental consultants Chris Mee Group (CMSE)

To raise the money, CSME staff in both the Cork and Dublin offices took part in a walkathon, which saw each team locally walk the 500km distance from their own office to the other, respectively.

Spearheading the challenge were CMSE Recruiter Ciara O’Dwyer and CMSE Consultant Michael Gleeson, who looked on as their teams quickly exceeded the required distance, raising close to €1,000 in the process.

Chris Mee Group then matched the money raised, bringing the grand total to €2,000.
