3 Degrees salon after a fire broke out at the business.

‘We will be back’

The owners of a salon which was gutted in a suspected arson incident have pleaded with anyone with information to contact gardaí.

Investigations are continuing into a fire at 3 Degrees hair salon in Blackpool which took place last Friday.

In a Facebook post, owners Estelle, Ciara and Hayley said: “We are three sisters who employ 13 wonderful hard working girls. We are only back in business the past 11 weeks. We work hard, we have families of our own to provide for. We put so much into our gorgeous salon to provide the highest of standards along with keeping all of our clientele looking and feeling fabulous.

“We cannot believe what has happened. In all of our 11 years we cannot understand especially after the Covid-19 closure. Any information is helpful. We want to thank everyone for their kind calls, messages the past few days, the gardaí, the fire service, our neighbours and the outpouring support from all of you.”

The post continued: “To all the salon owners who have offered up their space to us, we are truly grateful. A special thanks as well to Day & Night Security. We will be back, we are determined. The love and support from everyone especially our friends and family will get us through this horrific time but for now we need your help to get answers.”

Gardaí at Watercourse Road are investigating the suspected arson incident which happened on Redforge Road in the early hours of Friday morning, 18 September.

The investigation team are seeking any persons who may have been in the area of the Old Mallow Road/Dublin Hill between 2.15-3am and that may have witnessed anything unusual to come forward.

Gardaí are also asking road users, particularly any taxi drivers, who may have dash cam footage of that area to make it available.
