In sync with zinc

Want to get ahead of the trend?

Each year, a team of colour and design experts from Dulux identifies the colour trends set to feature in the year ahead and beyond, reflecting and defining the mood of the moment.

For 2021, Dulux has just announced Brave Ground as the Colour of the Year.

DFS has revealed that its iconic French Connection Zinc sofa range will now be available in this earthy hue, offering an easy way for customers to incorporate the must-have colour for the coming year into their home.

Rob Ellis, Senior Designer at DFS, said: “For the third year running we are delighted to be collaborating with Dulux on their Colour of the Year. This partnership allows those following the tone-on-tone colour trend to have Brave Ground in their homes, both in paint and upholstery.

“Together they’re simply beautiful, paired with pale wood, rattan and textured accessories in complementary shades.”

Marianne Shillingford, Creative Director at Dulux, said: “Brave Ground is a warm organic clay neutral that I would describe as the ‘Mother Earth’ of colours. It is elemental, familiar, soft, and soothing.

“Our Colour of the Year 2021 is also a versatile neutral which plays the ultimate supporting role for all the other colours you already have in your home, so you can have fun with your favourite shades in cushions and accessories with the complete confidence that it will always look beautiful."

The Zinc sofa features smooth angled arms, buttoned back detailing and stylish raised legs, that lend it an effortlessly cool, mid-century modern feel. The range will include a velvet in the colour Brave Ground from 27 October. Order in-store or online at dfs.ie.
