Halloween installation from the ‘skeleton crew' of Cork Community Art Link near the North Gate Bridge.

A boo-tiful city!

The Cork Community Art Link's spooky skeleton boat installation on the Lee is really helping to keep Halloweeen afloat this year, but it doesn't end there.

A spooks-person for the group told the Cork Independent that on Halloween it plans to release a series of creative videos made by groups and individuals who would normally be a part of the Dragon of Shandon Festival.

The group will also be releasing ‘Boo Boi Volume 3’, a comic created by 11-14 year olds who attend comic making workshops with Art Link.

In the meantime, the group has published a finished series of tutorials of how to build a skeleton out of tape. The videos can be found at corkcommunityartlink.com/tape-sculpture-skeleton-tutorials.

This year would have been the 15th year of the Dragon of Shandon street parade and festival, but due to Covid-19 restrictions the legendary beast will be forced to sleep through.
