Prep for the season ahead

As we head into the winter months, with people continuing to spend more time at home, we have seen via our online colour consultations, an increase in customers looking to create new spaces or bring a new energy to a room.

At Colourtrend, we offer an online colour consultancy service with a team of qualified interior designers and colour consultants to assist with all DIY home projects and renovations. These experts have extensive knowledge of Colourtrend’s range of colours and finishes, as well as the advice you need to get your home prepped for the season ahead.

Top tips

• Making a cosy home starts at your doorway. Paint your favourite tone in your hallway or front door (temperatures permitting) and create a welcoming statement in your home this winter. Be brave with colour!

• A little colour can go a long way. Warm your room and encourage cosy gatherings by adding an accent tone to your space such as Four Arches or City Dusk on a feature wall.

• A new season calls for a new look. Draw attention to the warmth of your fireplace by painting your mantle in a seasonal hue. Embrace the new season inspired tones such as Baked Plum or Chestnut Pink.

• Cosy nooks. Create a reading nook using colour zoning, perfect to create a special space in open plan areas. Use tones such as Genesis or Raglan Road for added warmth.
