Vereena’s eye catching jewellery

There’s no bigger Christmas treat than finding gorgeous jewellery under the tree.

Colour Addict Jewellery is the creation of Vereena Harrington, an award-winning jewellery designer. Vereena was born in South Africa and is of Indian descent, and after years of working around the world, it inspired her to bring her passion to life by creating this vibrant collection of eye catching jewellery.

She is now based in Ireland but her distinctive styled jewellery was first established in Singapore three years ago with four locations in Asia now. Married to a Cork man who she met in Johannesburg, they have lived in the US, UK and Singapore, but made the decision last year to move to Cork permanently. Vereena has now set up her online jewellery store for Irish customers and Cork is also the perfect location to ship her jewellery worldwide.

Vereena’s design philosophy for Colour Addict is to make beautiful jewellery, which resembles the colours and textures of places she has been, which she brings to life through her creations. She aims to bring fresh new designs bursting with colour using gemstones. When deciding a name for her bestselling collection of natural gemstones which are fun and flirty, and very unconventional, it was only fitting to call it Rebel Rocks Collection.

“I’ve been coming to Cork for the past 11 years and before moving here permanently, we had spent Christmas and summer holidays here, and fell in love with all things Cork. It is such a unique culture and like nowhere else in the world,” says Vereena.

Every piece is designed by Vereena’s creative thinking, and then manufactured in the Colour Addict workshop. The mumpreneur won awards in her first year of business, as well as being featured in Tatler and Vogue for her vibrant jewellery collection. When she isn't designing statement earrings and rings, Vereena loves baking with her son and binge watching Rachel Allen and Donal Skehan cooking videos!
