No fear with gorgeous gym gear

I was just thinking the other day about how a few years ago, I just didn’t own any leisure wear.

I said this to someone recently and they were curious as to what I relaxed in or lounged around the house in and when I thought about it, I used to just wear my jeans or wear dresses. Regular clothes, like! I literally did not own any clothes that I could just lounge in and this now seems absolutely crazy considering 50 per cent of my wardrobe these days consists of tracksuits, knitted lounge sets or gym gear.

I would never ever have thought about purchasing a tracksuit, never mind a matching set, and the only trainers I owned were a pair of Converse and some battered ones for the gym. Obviously, people were getting more relaxed in their dressing the last few years but we can thank Covid for the absolute boom in athleisure pieces and leisurewear.

We are at home more and working out more because, let’s face it, what else can we do at the moment? I even have my good tracksuits now which I’ll save for days when I’m leaving the house and might go somewhere for lunch. Who even am I anymore?

On my lookout for some new workout gear recently I came across Gym Grow Gain and was even more excited when I discovered that it’s from my neck of the woods. Does anyone else get overly excited when people they know start a new business?

Gym Grow Gain was founded in Cork by brother and sister team Tom and Stephanie. It is a luxury lifestyle brand with premium quality activewear and accessories combining luxury, style, comfort and performance. The brand was developed not just for gym/fitness enthusiasts but also for everyday athleisure.

The luxury brand exists at the crossroads of fashion and function. Gym Grow Gain strives to accommodate both the everyday fashion consumer and the exercise lover. All the products use high-quality materials providing support, breathability and comfort without sacrificing style.

Most importantly, the combination of materials and design will support, sculpt and flatter all body shapes and sizes making these the perfect pieces to take you from doing school runs to lunch with friends to working out. Not only that but Tom and Stephanie are committed to the fight against fast fashion which is of course so important nowadays.

“We want to join the fight against fast fashion and bring you pieces that are durable, transitional and wardrobe staples. We are also committed to using 100 per cent eco-friendly packaging. We strongly believe in leaving the earth a better place that we found it and have a forward thinking and innovative business plan to support this as we grow,” they said.

Some of their most popular pieces are the petite Rio leggings which is designed for the shorter legged gal and being one of those myself I can definitely vouch for the need for a shorter style in workout leggings. The leggings also come with anti-slip ribbing on the waist to help reduce that dreaded rolling of the waist band and that is the type of legging we all need in our life.
