Final year students of CIT Cork School of Music Theatre & Drama Studies performing one of 57 short scenes from play ‘Love and Information’.

Break a leg MTU!

‘Love and Information’ by renowned British playwright Caryl Churchill will be performed by the final year ensemble of the CIT Cork School of Music (CSM) BA in Theatre & Drama Studies.

The 22 young actors will embody more than 100 fascinating characters across 57 short, thought-provoking scenes in a play that poignantly explores and mirrors the age of the splintered attention span.

Rather than wait for the Covid storm to pass and revert to old methods of theatre, this resilient group of Leeside actors and theatre-makers has instead embraced a new online format of theatre in order to deliver a performance that captures the essence of love in the new virtual age.

The play is directed by Regina Crowley with set design by Aoife Cahill, sound design by Cormac O’Connor, lighting design by Aoife Cahill, and costume design by Valentina Gambardella.

The performance will be streamed from the CIT Cork CSM Stack Theatre from 23-27 February with tickets priced at €10 and €6 concessions.
