The Earth Spiritualist Centre where couples can now get married even with restrictions in place.

You can never lock down love!

With so many weddings postponed last year and this year not looking much better so far, a qualified Leeside ceremony officiant is offering an alternative solution.

As well as her ceremony officiant status, Australian native Sharon Quigley is also the resident teacher of meditation and spirituality at The Earth Spiritualist Centre in the heart of Cork city.

The centre is a HSE approved venue for marriage ceremonies, which means Sharon can conduct marriages there through any stage of restrictions, including the current Level 5.

The non-denominational marriage ceremonies Sharon creates and conducts are fully flexible with each ceremony designed to suit the wishes and beliefs of the couple.

Sharon says has only conducted a very small number of marriages so far at Earth Spiritualist Centre and that people are not in any kind of big rush.

“Most marriages I conduct are at glamorous wedding venues and most do prefer to postpone their wedding until they can celebrate with their friends and family. But they are grateful to have another option if they change their mind, which they sometimes do,” says Sharon.

According to Sharon, there may also be cases where a terminal illness of a family member means postponing the marriage would bring additional heartbreak.

She said couples in that situation have been very grateful to discover they can be married in Cork city during restrictions if they wish.

Sharon can be contacted through Enchanted Ceremonies, the ceremonial division of Earth Spiritualist Foundation at enchantedceremonies.ie, or from her website 5starceremonies.ie.

She is also the founder of Craft 4 Kindness, a community project where she designs free quick-knit knitting patterns for winter hats and woolies for those who wish to knit items for Cork Penny Dinners.
