Dalata guest it all

A hotel group with four hotels in Cork city and 44 across Ireland and the UK, has just recorded one million interactions via its new contactless guest platform.

The new service, offered by Dalata Hotel Group, enables contactless check-in and check-out as well as a full suite of guest services, such as meal reservations and room service, and is the first of its kind in Ireland.

The group owns the Maldron hotels in Shandon and on the South Mall, and the Clayton hotels on Lapps Quay and Silversprings.

Developed in collaboration with Dublin-based hotel booking software provider P3 Hotels, the innovative web portal aims to transform the hotel guest experience as the hospitality sector continues to adapt to Covid-19.

The digital platform is designed to aid social distancing and Covid-19 safety protocols in hotels as well as securely and seamlessly facilitating the track and trace process for all visitors.

Stephen McNally, Deputy CEO, Dalata Hotel Group, said: “The software is a landmark development for the hospitality sector in Ireland. It is the result of deep consultation with our innovative technology partners Granite Digital & P3 to develop a platform that can not only help achieve compliance with Covid-19 measures, but also revolutionise guest interactions for a more connected world.”

Through the platform, physical interaction is minimised with customers accessing the platform through a link in their check-in email and using pick-up and drop-off boxes for room keys on arrival and departure.
