Hot new designer features unisex twist in latest collection

It can be incredibly hard to be creative at the moment with the whole world being in somewhat of a global crisis situation.

I find it a struggle to remain motivated in even the smallest of tasks, so I am in absolute awe of anyone managing to keep it together and keep their creative juices flowing while producing amazing collections of work.

I came across the designer Edera Tusha recently and her new spring summer collection was really very interesting with a mix of pieces that could be worn dressed up or down, for casual or workwear and even more interestingly with a unisex twist to a lot of the collection.

Edera, 26 and from Italy, recently graduated from the Grafton Academy of Fashion Design.

She has been living in Ireland for six years and loves the vibe of Ireland.

“As a young woman and fashion entrepreneur, I strongly believe in gender equality. I admire societies that value women and men as equal. In my last and upcoming collections, I have been focusing and researching the unisex development in the fashion industry,” said Edera.

Her style and design vision are clear to see in this new collection and she adores the idea of mixing tailoring with other styles, like work wear and street wear.

I love how she has taken classic pieces and reimagined them in interesting ways using a mix of different materials and one of my favourite looks from the collection is a classic tan overcoat that could be worn all year round and is an investment piece for your workwear wardrobe.

It’s also a great unisex piece that can be worn by anyone and would look equally well over a more day-to-day casual jeans combination. The same can be said for a reimagined classic white shirt with zip tie detail and black cuffs.

This has been styled for guys worn over black trousers but would work equally well as womenswear and styled as a cool, modern shirt dress. It's the perfect piece for summer when paired with an oversized blazer and brogues or a block heel sandal.

We know I’m a big fan of jumpsuits and boilersuits so it really comes as no surprise that my favourite piece is an oversized navy jumpsuit that again has all year round wearability and could easily be dressed up or down. An oversized cuff and button feature gives an interesting design aesthetic to this piece.

I would adore wearing this in summer with a trainer or bright coloured sandal to add a pop of colour.

I look forward to seeing more from this designer!
