A site in Cloghanacullen, Goleen is offered at bids over €41,000.

Strong demand from buyers

Anyone thinking about selling a property is being encouraged to do so as prices continue to rise.

Property auction specialists IAM Sold, who run the Munster, Connacht, Leinster and Northern Ireland Property Auctions, is advising property owners looking to sell their properties in the coming months to contact them to arrange for a free valuation.

Liam Farragher of the Munster Property Auction said: “At present there are approximately 15,000 homes available to buy on Daft.ie, down about 40 per cent on supply levels seen last year. The biggest challenge in the Irish housing market right now and indeed over the last few years remains the low stock levels.

“Looking at these latest figures, it is clear that the rise in house prices is a result of prolonged low supply and continued strong demand. Across the country, we continue to see strong enquiry levels on the majority of properties we offer to market, and we feel now is an excellent time for anyone thinking of selling.”

Several types of properties will be going under the hammer at the next Munster Property Auction.
