A new decadent experience is calling.

Following many months of detailed planning, development and high anticipation, the wait is finally over for guests of the destination resort The Montenotte Hotel as its new state of the art rooftop bar and terrace, The Glasshouse, has been unveiled.

Built within the former 18th century residence of a merchant prince, The Montenotte Hotel is well known for its design-led, vibrant and eclectic vibe and breathtaking views of Cork.

With an investment in the region of €1 million, The Glasshouse has been designed with creativity and fun in mind.

To access The Glasshouse, guests are led from the Panorama Terrace of the main hotel, down a sweeping staircase, connecting to a new purpose-built glass bridge to the terrace of The Glasshouse and are greeted on arrival by an impressive tall apex glass exterior and stunning soft pink outdoor furnishings.

Through the doors, guests can expect to be wowed by the botanical themed bespoke interiors and majestic antique brass and blue-tiled cocktail bar taking centre stage, surrounded by intimate booth seating in luxurious Italian leather.

General Manager Brian Bowler said: “We are incredibly excited that The Glasshouse is now open.

“It’s hard to believe that just a few months ago, this space was an under-utilised outdoor terrace and has since been transformed into a stylish rooftop bar and terrace, rivalling any Irish or international establishment. The Glasshouse is a real game-changer and is a must visit destination experience in Cork.”

For guests hoping to be one of the first to experience The Glasshouse, The Montenotte Hotel have introduced a limited edition Sunset Breakaway Package.

From €295 per stay, the package includes one night bed and breakfast for two adults, with a reserved table at The Glasshouse on arrival where guests will enjoy The Royale Rose - one of the new elegant signature cocktails made with their bespoke Montenotte Gin, fresh strawberries and prosecco - as well as a two-course lunch at the Panorama Bistro either on their arrival or departure day, to further extend and enjoy the visit.
