Spray on some summer spritz
Summer is finally here and honestly the humidity and heat is making me think of my favourite thing to do…spritz my skin.
Not only is it fresh and calming, it can also help your precious skin barrier. Not all sprays are created equally though so I am sharing with you my favourites from pre serum to fixing sprays and the all important SPFs.
Dermalogica
Hyaluronic Ceramide Mist (€55) is the latest spritz launch from Dermalogica that saturates skin with hydration and locks in moisture to help it bounce back. A key ingredient is hyaluronic acid which helps skin hold onto water for long-lasting hydration. Add some ceramides to help seal in hydration for supple skin that bounces back. Lastly rose water contains antioxidant-rich polyphenols and flavonoids to help revive and refresh. So what does it do? It easily hydrates to help skin bounce back and strengthens skin’s barrier thus smooths the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Avant
Skincare PH Balancing & Brightening Rose Infusion Day Mist (€92) aims to hydrate, protect and energise skin at any time of day. This concentrated spray envelops the face in a halo of freshness. Rose works to buff away dead skin cells and impurities to reveal soft, fresh and youthful skin. Its light-reflective properties help illuminate the delicate skin, softening flaws and boost radiance. Dimethicone aims to coat skin with a protective layer, helping keep moisture in and leaving skin hydrated for longer. Propanediol promotes better absorption, giving the skin a soft and smooth texture.
Avène
Its Thermal Spring Water (€12) is a dual-action wonder product that can be used to hydrate and soothe the skin at any stage during the day. The spray can also be sprayed directly onto sensitive, irritated skin prone to redness and itching sensations to soothe the face and body, or over the face, neck and body to cool down in hot climates and after exercise.
Luna by Lisa
Forget beauty touch-ups, lock in your look with the Luna by Lisa’s Glow Setting Spray (€15) which offers long lasting power while keeping your make-up set all day, every day. The Glow Setting Spray is an illuminating setting spray containing light-reflecting pearls for that glow from within skin. It’s lightweight, breathable and oh-so calming. My top tip is to use it with your beauty blender too for added foundation staying power.

The Anthelios Sun Protection Face Mist 75ml (€15) gives high protection with the lightness and freshness of a thermal spring water. Invisible on the skin, this is a very high, broad, photostable UVA/UVB protection SPF 50. It can be worn under or on-top of make up and can be re-applied throughout the day. It is suitable for all skin types, including skin that is oily or blemish prone.
