Cllr John Healy

Council welcomes new member

Independent John Healy was officially introduced as a member of council at County Hall on Monday to a warm welcome. Cllr Healy was a close friend of Cllr Collins having served on his election committee for years. Addressing the chamber for the first time, Cllr Healy assured the people of East Cork that he will represent them in the council to the best of his ability.

“Noel was a good friend of mine for many years, we go back to 1973. While I'm succeeding Noel Collins in the council, I know that I'm not replacing him. Noel cannot be replaced. It's a great privilege and an honour for me to be co-opted as a member of Cork County Council. I look forward to working with all of you,” said Cllr Healy.
