Midleton school now enrolling
Midleton College will be accepting applications within the enrolment window of 1-22 October.
Established in 1696, the school has been educating students for over 300 years.
In that time, Midleton College has established and maintained a tradition of high academic achievement, reinforced by recent excellent state examination results, well ahead of the national average in all subject areas.
Small class sizes allow for the careful nurturing of the individual within the college community, with a large emphasis placed on inclusive and holistic education.
The college aims to offer a broad curriculum that supports the academic and personal development of each pupil allowing them to reach their full potential.
The school offers 22 subjects for Leaving Certificate, including 3 languages, politics and society, computer science, physical education, and design and communication graphics.
Midleton College includes a modern sand-dressed astroturf pitch, swimming pool, rugby pitches, and dining hall.
The latest addition to the campus is the recently completed Trevor West Sports Hall, specially designed for basketball, badminton, hockey, and a range of other indoor sports. As well as these facilities, the newly refurbished boarding houses offer students a home away from home.
Extracurricular activities are strongly promoted within the school to ensure each student finds a niche that they can enjoy. These diverse activities include an art club, science club, drama club, as well as sports including rugby, hockey, soccer, and swimming.
Music is an important part of the school too, with all 1st years receiving music lessons. College choir and a chamber orchestra are also central to the school.
