Don’t put a fork in it just yet as food festival continues

A yummy food festival is in full swing on Leeside.

This new 5 day food festival called Cork on a Fork aims to be as inclusive as possible and has a fabulous family offering for younger budding foodies.

It's a great way to spend some quality time with the family before the end of summer. The celebration of food features a long-table style street dinner, unique experiences, food trails, tasting masterclasses, street events, bite-size food talks, cooking demos, free events, Cork on a Fork specials, family fun, night-time food experiences and more.

Some events are already booked out but there are great culinary experiences over the week, such as Tutored Beer Tasting, Oysters 3 Ways, Fish ‘n’ Wine Guerrilla Tasting and Make your own Churros.

Cork might be on a fork but don’t forget your pizza cutter. Learn how to stretch and top pizza with some of Oak Fire Pizza's chefs at the Marina Market, today, 18 August between 11am-12pm.

On Friday 19 August from 2-4pm, you can enjoy lunch on Caroline Street while children young and old have lots of fun with Let’s Play Cork activities all facilitated by an experienced coach. The play activity is free, allowing children to have fun while adults enjoy lunch in 1 of the restaurants nearby.

On Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 August, enjoy a Beasley Street Family BBQ at the Maldron South Mall from 1-5pm. The BBQ starts from €8pp. Let's Play Cork ambassadors will be on hand to transform Beasley Street into a play street from 2-4pm. Children will have lots of fun with giant Jenga, Connect Four, colour catcher games, tug of war and more.
