Norwegian electropop sensation Sigrid will play a very intimate show in Cork next month.

Sigrid’s back for porter, bad weather and Mitchelstown

Norwegian powerhouse Sigrid will play an intimate show in Cork next week ahead of her triumphant return to the 3Arena in Dublin.

In 2020, the electropop sensation behind hits like ‘Strangers’ and ‘It Gets Dark’ was supposed to headline Cork’s Indiependence festival but the pandemic had other ideas.

A huge fan of Ireland and Guinness, Sigrid was gutted to miss out on her Irish dates and says she is thrilled to be coming back.

Sigrid will play Walsh’s Bar in Mitchelstown on 20 November as part of her Cozy Tour with will see her play a number of intimate shows around the country before taking to the big stage again.

Sigrid has always had a special connection with Ireland, right from the first headline show at The Academy, through to an emotional performance at Electric Picnic, sold out arenas, and a magical performance at Dingle’s Other Voices.

“It's no secret Ireland is one of my absolute favourite places to tour,” said Sigrid.

“I remember being gutted when I couldn’t make it to Bundoran, Belfast and Mitchelstown. So, I’m very happy to say that I’m coming back this fall! I can’t wait for Guinness, hopefully some hikes, bad weather and good clothing, and really cosy concerts.”

The Cozy Tour centres around the launch of Sigrid’s second album ‘How To Let Go’, which has received rave reviews across the board and, like her debut album ‘Sucker Punch’, has crashed into the Norwegian charts at number 1.

“Doing the cozy tour around my album launch in May really opened something new again for me,” Sigrid explains.

“I love signing on big stages and having proper tempo to my shows but on this mini tour, I just figured out I loved taking my time in between songs, chatting to the audience and my band on stage.”

Tickets Sigrid’s performance at Walsh’s Bar in Mitchelstown on 20 November are now on sale at ticketmaster.ie. Tickets for her show in the 3Arena on 24 November are also available from Ticketmaster.
