Holiday packing - Anyone else over analyse it?

I’m off on holidays this week and I can’t wait to exit the plane into that hot Mediterranean sun.

It feels like I haven’t felt sunshine in such a long time and, exaggeration I know, but it certainly feels that way with the weather we’ve had. When it’s still chilly outside, I have found it super hard trying to pack and I keep looking at the weather forecast for Spain and trying to imagine what 22 degrees feels like.

Do I need a jacket, do I need 2 jackets, will I wear a jacket during the day? I mean the dilemmas are relentless.

My parents thought they might need to bring coats but I think I’ve talked them down from that decision. Inevitably we will find it warmer than the Spaniards and while I’ll be walking around in a summer dress and sandals, the locals will be wearing coats and scarves and I’ll feel like a complete fool dressed incorrectly.

I feel like I haven’t worn summer clothes or even lighter spring clothes in so long that I just can’t face wearing anything too heavy on this holiday. I simply must feel the sun on my bones and soak up that vitamin D.

One thing I will definitely be packing is some of the Dream Cream Collection by Luna by Lisa Jordan. After a long winter of being covered up my skin needs all the help it can get in achieving that holiday glow and the Body Goddess body highlighters are just what I need to give me a sun kissed look.

The collection also features cream blush and cream highlight which all deliver an enviable glow and healthy finish so even if you haven’t been on holidays you can still achieve that summer sun vibe.

I’ve also kept my clothes packing very simple and I love how you can really pack light when you go somewhere hot. Banish that knitwear and bust out the shorts and shirt sets. I was never one for shorts but I got reacquainted with them last summer and had bought a few matching sets so I’ve packed those again.

I’m, also of course, loving a dress option and you just can’t go wrong with a floral or bright geo print dress. I bought a fab one last year from New Look that has a designer vintage Pucci style to it and I’ll pair that with silver block heels for night time. I actually found it easier to pack for night on this occasion as it’s just something dressy and then a bit of a heel but for day I’m always thinking about my footwear options.

We always walk loads so I really need something comfortable but then my feet are roasting in trainers and socks so I’ll be busting out my River Island dad sandals which go with absolutely everything and then my gold espadrilles for the days when we are taking it easy and might not go too far.

Also it’s a city break, so you don’t want to go too summer beachy either. It’s a minefield and I haven’t even gotten to my airport outfit yet. I mean really does anyone else over analyse every aspect of holiday packing or is it just me?
