Preparation underway for Network Cork annual awards

Drum roll please as 38 women from across Cork have been recognised for their professional achievements across 8 different award categories.

The winners of each category will be announced during Network Cork’s Annual Dinner and Businesswoman of the Year Awards taking place on 25 May in the Maryborough House Hotel.

Lord Mayor of Cork Cllr Deirdre Forde said: “I am delighted to launch the 2023 Network Ireland Cork Awards. This dynamic branch of Network Ireland plays such a critical role in supporting Cork women on their career journeys and the annual awards ceremony is a significant event in celebrating and recognizing the professional and personal development of women.”

President of Network Cork, Ingrid Seim congratulated this year’s finalists and shared her pride in highlighting the achievements of Cork women in business. “We are looking forward to celebrating the achievements of so many outstanding women. Our members represent such a wide range of businesses and industries in Cork, and we are proud and honoured to highlight their successes.”

The winners in each category will be determined by the judging panel made up of Gillian Keating, Partner at RDJ, Vicki Crean, Manager Service and Sales at AIB, and Niall O’Keeffe, Head of Enterprise at LEO Cork City.

Network Cork Awards Co-Ordinator Susana Marambio will introduce this year's awards winners: “Women who put themselves forward are catalysts for change. By stepping out of their comfort zones, they inspire others to do the same.

“Their determination and resilience serve as a powerful reminder that when women support each other, incredible things happen. This year we saw records numbers of applications, we applaud these women for their courage.”

The event will be hosted by Deirdre O’Shaughnessy with a special address from guest speaker Minister Michael McGrath TD. Tickets are available at networkireland.ie.
