Natasha’s skin treatment plan included lasers and micro-needling.

Skin deep

I’ve been so busy with work and events recently and one thing for certain; when I’m burning the candle at both ends it’s so easy for my skin to suffer. I try and get plenty of sleep, drink loads of water and stick to a good skincare routine but every now and then I need a little something extra to get my glow back, so with this in mind, I popped along to Arasys aesthetic clinic for a consultation.

The clinic is so easy to get to on Oliver Plunkett St and is a beauty haven right in the city centre. After listening to my skin concerns, a treatment plan was recommended which included lasers and micro-needling.

Both treatments must be done separately so I was advised to go with the laser rejuvenation first. The aim of this treatment is to diffuse redness and light brown pigmentation, soften lines and stimulate new collagen formation. This was pretty much pain-free with a tiny little bit of discomfort when the laser was around the mouth area but it’s just like a little ping and that’s it. There was also no downtime and I felt like my skin looked fresh almost straight away as it was also combined with a Murad facial.

A few weeks later I was back at the clinic to try the Divine Pro Facial and this was a little bit more of an intense treatment. The treatment uses fine micro-needles while applying radiofrequency to volumise the deep dermal layer. It disrupts the skin so that once healing begins your body will naturally produce new collagen.

I would say while this treatment didn’t hurt it was uncomfortable having the heat and the needles but certainly not painful as my face was numb beforehand. I did feel like there was more downtime with this as my face was quite rough and delicate afterwards and I really had to be careful to apply and reapply my sunscreen and wear a hat when I did go outdoors.

Kelly and Tanya who performed the treatments, both gave me loads of advice and aftercare and I felt that was great and much needed, especially after the Divine Pro pyramid facial. Now I’m more than a month passed having the treatments and my skin does look a whole lot smoother, brighter and tighter.

In other news, I am having a total nightmare trying to dress for this warm and wet weather and I have gotten the trusty trench coat out of the wardrobe again. It really is just the handiest jacket in this sort of weather and can be worn over pretty much anything.

I’m also relying heavily on ankle boots, and I just cannot resist a cowboy boot so when I saw a pair of silver and white ones on ASOS I had to make a purchase. I’ve been wearing them with absolutely everything and my feet remain nice and dry in the rain.
