Enjoy a Barbie-themed charity afternoon tea!

Spectacular Barbie-themed charity event with Mia Gold

If you haven’t had your fill of Barbie yet, a great charity event is taking place this month.

A Barbie-themed afternoon tea experience will take place on Sunday 20 August in the Carrigaline Court Hotel.

It’s set to be a celebration of creativity, inclusivity, and fabulousness, complete with a dazzling drag queen host.

The event, organised by Christine Duff, is part of a bigger charity drive that is happening as part of the Carrigaline Come Strictly 2023, which is raising funds for several charities including Breast Cancer Ireland.

Christine, who will be taking part in the Strictly show in November, is no stranger to adversity. Flipping her own diagnosis of MS in 2019, the single mother of two returned to college and received an accredited diploma in life coaching with neuroscience which she now uses to help other people to raise their own resilience.

Christine is soon to join a popular TV show that is returning to screens in the autumn. She will be co-hosting this event with the much loved Cork drag queen, Mia Gold.

The aim of this party is to bring people together to have fun, gather some useful insights and inspiration to use in their own life as well as make new friends and leave feeling encouraged and energised.

This Barbie-themed afternoon is a celebration of diversity, self-expression, and the joy of coming together to bid farewell to summer in style. Come for a day of laughter, entertainment, and unforgettable memories with a good measure of glitz, glam and empowerment. Whether you're a die-hard Barbie fan, a drag enthusiast, or simply someone who loves a good time, this event promises something for everyone.

Event highlights include a Barbie photo booth, a Best Dressed Barbie Contest, deliciously pink refreshments as well as pop up shops.

It takes place on Sunday 20 August in the Carrigaline Court Hotel. Doors open at 3pm while the event starts at 4pm until 7pm. Tickets are available at eventbrite.ie.
