The 50 Plus Show is back!

Over 1,000 people are expected to attend the Cork 50 Plus Show in the Radisson Blu Hotel next month.

Back after 3 years, the 50 Plus Show, Ireland’s lifestyle event for older people is back and coming to the Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Cork on the 12 and 13 September and, according to the organisers, will include over 50 displays and demonstrations covering health checks and talks, hobbies & pastimes ideas, personal finance advice, rights & entitlements, internet tuition, cooking demonstrations, valuations of notes, coins, stamps and collectables plus recruitment and volunteering. The event is organised by SeniorTimes, who have been running public events for people 50 and over for over 20 years and who are also publishers of SeniorTimes magazine and the SeniorTimes Podcast Series.

Improve your digital skills

New this year is Hi Digital, a step-by-step course designed for anyone who needs help in developing their digital skills, particularly those who have rarely or never been online.

Hi Digital Staff will be on hand at the 50 Plus Show in the Radisson Blu, Cork giving tips and advice for getting online, browsing course topics with their experts – or just helping people going online for hobbies and travel, online banking, entertainment and shopping, connecting with friends and family, and more.

Another new feature to this years event will be a A Jobs Wall, staffed by Intreo, the Employer Relations Team in the Dept of Social Protection where attendees can get details on current vacancies – full time, casual and part time and provide support with recruitment and training.
