Enjoy some circus this Culture Night

Find Pitch’d Circus and Street Arts Festival active with a series of spectacular events at the Marina Market and Opera Lane this Friday.

With events for the whole family, and some just for the older ones, they’ve got your Culture Night Cork City 2023 sorted!

Circus Factory and Pitch’d Festival Artistic Director Cormac Mohally said: “Pitch'd Festival piggy backed off Culture Night back in 2017 because that was when people were out on the street hungry for culture. To be selected as one of the flagship events this year is testament to the hard work we have put in, and to the exciting vision we have for alternative late night cultural events.”

Firestorm is a fire show that will ignite your desire for more fire and more circus at the Marina Market. Three of Ireland’s most skilled fire performers come together to present a spectacularly entertaining fire show.

Firestorm is an explosion of fire, light, skill and the ridiculous. It features epic showdowns to ridiculous fantasy, from intense fire choreography to the dreamlike worlds of illusion and imagination.

By fusing the spectacular nature of circus and fire performance together with the illusions of magic and object manipulation along with expressiveness of dance and theatre, Fireshow focuses on creating a show that pushes the boundaries of what fire and light performance can be. Firestorm is a family friendly show taking place at the Market. Tickets are free but limited.

Indulge your sweet tooth at the Sweet as Circus Cabaret at the Marina Market. Candy Warhol and Pitch’d Circus and Street Arts Festival have teamed up to bring you the pick‘n’mix of your dreams through funding from the Arts Council Culture Night Late Award.

The Sweet as Circus Cabaret will see drag royalty rule with Mockie Ah while spectacular circus curiosities and burlesque beauties will astonish and astound you. The Sweet as Circus Cabaret will take place at the Marina Market. It’s for over 18s only and it’s free with limited tickets available.
