Crowded House and The Waterboys set to rock Leeside

Some great gigs have been added to the summer 2024 schedule on Leeside, as New Zealand band Crowded House have announced that they will return to Cork next summer.

The group, who have sold over 15 million records, are set to take the stage at Musgrave Park, on 23 June 2024.

As an added bonus, very special guests The Waterboys will also perform on the night.

In addition, Dublin DJ duo Belters Only will play their biggest Irish headline show in Musgrave Park on Friday 21 June. Tickets are from €59.90 including booking fees on sale Friday 10 November at 9am.

Belters Only, made up of longtime friends Bissett and Robbie G, began as a weekly residency in a Dublin city club. Whilst clubs were closed during the pandemic, they decided to create new music and developed Belters Only, releasing their first single in November 2021.

The Cork gig is part of a larger Crowded House tour which will see the legendary band play a series of outdoor shows in the UK, however, it’s a return to Leeside for the group, as they played the Marquee in 2022.

The concert is sure to be full of Crowded House’s biggest hits including ‘Don’t Dream it’s Over’, ‘Weather With You’, ‘Distant Sun’ and ‘It’s Only Natural’.

Starting out in 1985, the band’s music has resonated for multiple generations, and their influence has been wide-ranging, with their songs covered by artists such as Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande.

There is a strong Irish connection too, as singer Neil Finn’s mother was born in Kilmallock, Limerick.

Fronted by Mick Scott, The Waterboys are renowned as one of the world's great live acts. Their set will feature some of their most iconic tracks, such as 'The Whole Of The Moon,' 'How Long Will I Love You,' 'This Is The Sea,' and 'Fisherman's Blues.'

Tickets priced from €49.90 go on sale at 9am Friday 10 November from www.ticketmaster.ie.
